FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
Most insurance companies will cover basic labs. If your insurance company does not cover labs, we offer special pricing to make them affordable. Specialty labs(usually these are food allergy tests, stool cultures, heavy metal tests, etc.) are out-of-pocket.
Under the Affordable Care Act, your health insurance plan is supposed to cover naturopathic physicians. Many insurers are unaware of this requirement, and many states – including Arizona – are not enforcing it.
Are medications and supplements included?
As we are a naturopathic clinic, dietary changes, natural supplements and other natural recommendations will be made by your doctor. If necessary, a prescription may be written for you. If you have insurance, there is a good chance that prescription medications will be covered, however, supplements are not covered. At Genesis, we have a dispensary with high quality, pharmaceutical-grade supplements. We do our very best to keep the prices as low as possible.
Can I schedule a free consult?
We offer free 15-minute phone consultations to determine if Genesis is a good fit for you. This is an opportunity to learn about the doctor’s education, experience, and approach to medicine. No medical advice is exchanged in this consult.
Do you have a sliding scale?
As we are self-pay clinic, our prices have been created to be as low as possible to deliver the highest quality of care to each of our patients, therefore we do not have a sliding scale.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please download, print, and complete the appropriate New Patient Intake paperwork on the New Patient page. If you are unable to do so, we ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes early to complete paperwork in the clinic. We also ask that you bring any recent labs, imaging and medical records you may have, along with any medications and supplements you are currently taking.
